The Stories That Shakespeare Knew
Rambling Heart in association with MDCC Theatre for the RSC Open Stages.
Written and directed by Polly Tisdall and featuring traditional tales told by professional and community storytellers, The Stories That Shakespeare Knew explored the folk tales and legends referenced in Shakespeare’s plays. Juxtaposing Shakespeare’s language with live music, new writing and performance storytelling, The Stories That Shakespeare Knew was performed with a community cast at mac, Birmingham in February 2012. An extract of the full production appeared at the RSC‘s Courtyard Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon as part of the RSC Open Stages showcase in March 2012.
